The Lightfoot Planning Group provided planning and landscape architectural services through all of the entitlement process and permitting for Renaissance Terrace. The project includes a total of 96 coastal condominium units on approximately 4 acres adjacent to the San Luis Rey River, and across from the Oceanside Harbor. The project will provide high density, high quality housing within the coastal zone and the downtown redevelopment area with excellent local access to transportation, employment, shopping and the beach. Subterranean garage parking is provided along with recreational amenities for the residents. Public coastal access is also incorporated into the project.
The project proposal was controversial with the neighboring mobile home park, and was successfully upheld through litigation over the Environmental Impact Report and an appeal to the Coastal Commission. The project also involved a State Lands Boundary settlement agreement, approved by the State Lands Commission.
